Kevoy Community Development Institute
KCDI is a non-profit Farm Management and Community Development training institution located at the
RADA Building Belfast Morant Bay St.Thoma and 32 Weeville Gordon Street, Kingston 4
KCDI works to enhance and improve the quality of life for both urban and rural communities by educating,
Training and empowering communities via our Farm Management and Community Development
Training Programmes both local and regionally. A multidisciplinary Board governs the organization with
representatives from academia, the private sector and the NGO community. The Board provides policy
Oversight and guidance.
KCDI provides training to communities via scheduling of workshops and Capacity Building seminars for
information sharing. Direct training is also provided to farming groups located in deep rural Jamaica.
Collaborations have been established with major stakeholders namely: The Jamaica Agricultural Society
(JAS), Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA), Social Development Commission (SDC),
People Action for Community Transformation (PACT) and Newport Fersan ( JAMAICA) Ltd.
KCDI has a regional presence owing to the fact that we are member of Caribbean Farmers
Network (CaFan) which the umbrella group for most of the region farming groups. CaFan’s headquarters located in SVG. Base on the support o our regional stakeholders (IICA St.Lucia, St. Lucian Ministry of Agriculture, First Caribbean International Bank, and OECS) KCDI has established an office in St Lucia in an attempt to assist with Farm Management Training for the Eastern Caribbean.
